On April fool’s Day, a
lot of crazy and stupid things happen. Sometimes we laugh at the so
called fool and forget it overnight, but some other times, the things we
do on that day may contain unforgettable memories.
When we were in collage, there was a shy
boy in our class named James. Actually in terms of appearance, James
had got quite a big advantage, with his deep blue eyes and short blond
hair, but he seldom spoke to us and it seemed he lived in his own world,
so he remained a mystery for all of us. On April fool’s Day,
occasionally, we saw him in the campus, wearing glasses. And an idea
occurred to me. I asked two of my friends to talk to him, and in the
meantime, I wrote something on his white Abercrombie & Fitch clothes
"I am Kara, and my number is ***. Please meet me at the Italian
restaurant at 8 tonight". I wrote this because for one thing, we all
wanted to know something about him, for another, I was sort of
interested in him and April fool’s day was a good chance. Because you
would not feel that bad if he refuses to go. Seeing him leaving, I
wondered if the words on that Abercrombie & Fitch would work.
Anyway, I went to that restaurant at
eight. But when I got there, he was sitting beside the window. He had
changed other clothes, a dark blue Abercrombie, and he looked pretty
handsome with that Abercrombie, like the cowboy in the west. "Hey, I saw
the message that you wrote on my shirt. So here I am." He said to me
when I sat down. We talked a lot, about his unique individual character,
about what girls think of him and his mysterious to us. The more we
talk, the more we know about each other, the more charming he seemed to
be. In the end, he gave me a little present. I was so surprised; I had
never met a guy as thoughtful as him. He sent me home and on the way
back, he told me something that rocked my heart: "Actually I’ve always
had a feeling for you, and when I saw what you wrote on my clothes, I
felt I was the happiest guy ever." I didn’t tell him that was a joke on
April fool’s Day, for I didn’t want to break the romantic atmosphere.
But apparently he had already known that. "I know what you are thinking
and I know today is fool’s Day, and it’s the fashion to do so on this
day, but you wouldn’t have invited me if you had no feeling for me,
right?" "You are a miracle, James." I told him and we smiled.
